Biography

Amanda Kour (She/Her) is an Australian actor of Teochew, Cambodian, and
Laotian background, hailing from Melbourne, Australia. She is a proud artist of
colour who is passionate about serving as a voice for the under represented
in the industry, especially for the South-East Asian community.
Equipped with on screen training, as well as regular theatre and film
coaching, Amanda is a graduate from Film & Television Studio International’s
Full-Time Program (2022).
Additionally, Amanda is vocally training in musical theatre and pop vocals,
and has: commercial, heels, hip-hop, and jazz dance repertoire in her back
pocket, regularly training at O2 Dance Studios, Studio107, Ascendant DC,
and X Dance Station.
‘The Deb’ directed by Rebel Wilson is Amanda’s first breakout role in the
industry post graduation, and moving forward, aims to partake in screen
projects that feature representation of people of colour in leading positions
(particularly in fantasy and period pieces) in order to break the status quo.
