Raised in the bayside suburbs of Melbourne, Jacqui formed a passion for performing arts at the age of 4. Taking up guitar and singing throughout her teen years, Jacqui went on to have two gap years after high school where she gigged around Melbourne partially self-managed
and later with the management of Amber Mic. Under the name, JQ Music, Jacqui recorded and released a six-track EP titled Fire & Water in 2017. During this time, Jacqui also completed a short course at 16th Street where she studied Lee Strasburg’s Sensory technique with Bronwyn Coleman. Eager to cultivate her acting career and learn more
about performance techniques, Jacqui went on to gain a Bachelor of Arts in Acting (Stage and Screen) at Federation University. At university, Jacqui has performed in Alice Darling’s The Chapel Perilous (Sally Banner), Beng Oh’s Our Country’s Good (Major Robbie Ross), Denny Laurence’s The Caucasian Chalk Circle (Singer) where she composed and performed the musical score and most recently in James Pratt’s The Comedy of Errors (Adriana). Since completing uni, Jacqui has been writing music and workshopping for her new performance band called Kitty Chaos.
