Biography

Ciarán is an emerging actor and voice artist born and currently based in Sydney, Australia. With family two oceans away in County Cork, Ireland, Ciarán is proud to carry on a 2,000 year old tradition of oral storytelling. His most recent stage credits include Mel in Chimerica at New Theatre (Dir. Louise Fischer), Dom in What Have You Done at Chippen St Theatre (Dir. Garreth Cruikshank), Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream with The Acting Factory (Dir. Winsome Barker) and Sydney The Folk Musical performed at Newcastle Fringe Festival and Sydney Folk Festival (Dir. Clark Gormley).

Ciarán received his Bachelor of Performing Arts (Stage and Screen) from Actor's Centre Australia as part of their first bachelor program in 2020, working with tutors like Damien Ryan, Adam Cook, Jennifer West, Nigel Poulton, Scott Witt, Shy Magsalin and Anthony Skuse. While pursuing his degree he directed and devised a production of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and contributed to a production of Sarah Kane's 4:48 Psychosis with his classmates, as well as 16 other productions including Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night (dir. Adam Cook), Tom in Fat Pig (dir. Frankie Savige), Dean in Gloria (dir. Troy Harrison) and Silvius in As You Like It (dir. Adam Cook). Prior to his training he made his beginnings in student theatre: his credits with NUTS and UNSW Musical Theatre Society date back to 2014.

Since graduating, he has completed the Voiceover Fundamentals course at AFTRS and sought out Deanna Cooney and Felicity Jurd to further develop his sound. With the theatres reopening, he has taken on as much stage work as he can to collaborate with artists from all walks of life and to keep his skills sharp. When not working on his craft, you'll find him cooking, singing, morris dancing, dungeon mastering, or walking his household's springer spaniel.
