Biography
Sienna Macalister (they/them) is a multiply neurodivergent actor with a passion for authentic representation of diversity on screen. They are autistic and a keen observer of social interaction, bringing profound depth of character to their roles. Sienna was featured in the ABC’s “Nowhere Boys” and a national TVC for OnePass as well as several minor roles.
Sienna also wrote, produced and edited a short film, “One Closed Door” which went on to be a semi-finalist at the Changing Face and Eurasia International Film Festivals. They have completed intensives at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting, the Margie Haber Studio, and private tuition with Doug Warhit in Los Angles. Currently, Sienna trains with Jasper Bagg.
Sienna is also a screenwriter, serving as a note-taker in professional writers’ rooms after being hand-picked to participate in the Australian Writers’ Guild Pathways program. They also hold an Advanced Diploma of Professional Screenwriting and a Bachelor of Communications (Media) from RMIT.
Having worked in multiple aspects of film - including note-taking, screenwriting, script supervising, directing, and post-production editing - Sienna holds a deep understanding to how different departments work together to bring a film to life, setting them up to be a versatile and valuable asset on any film set.
