Ayumi Lacey

Ayumi Lacey is a dynamic bilingual actor, who draws on her native Japanese heritage and over two decades of life in Melbourne, Australia. Fluent in both Japanese and English, Ayumi brings a unique cultural perspective to her roles, honed by more than 20+ roles on-camera experience in student films, national TV commercials and a range of video content.

Ayumi was born in Fukuoka, Japan, and began pursuing her passion for acting in 2021. She embarked on rigorous screen acting training under the guidance of Mark Hennessy at Brave Studios in Footscray and has since continued her professional development with industry-driven screen acting courses led by Jasper Bagg at APS in Moorabbin. Her first opportunity came in 2022 when she was featured in the national TVC series for Rinnai Australia as a mother and wife, roles she played alongside her real-life family. Ayumi is a versatile actor. She shines as a loving mother, a senior corporate manager, or in dramatically contrasting roles like a ruthless murderer in the Netflix series "Wentworth" or a formidable Yakuza leader in "Kill Bill".

A dedicated yoga practitioner, she has mastered impressive feats like the splits and recently completed a 10-month intensive Hawaiian dance course, culminating in a stunning stage performance in Hawaii in June 2024. Ayumi Lacey is more than an actor; she is a cultural bridge, a relentless learner, and a passionate performer, bringing depth, authenticity, and versatility to every role she embodies.
